What Is Beam The Light?
A two day gathering of creative storytelling, live music performances, poetry, cuisine & conversations, A celebration of Africa in Africa.
In celebration of Africa liberation day, we believe Africa’s people are its richest asset and Beam The Light gives us a unique platform space, time and opportunity to come together, be entertained and enriched in the power of our collective creativity and achievement.
The stage show performance on Friday 24 May, 2019 will have a youth feel and supporting narrative. What is the future of Africa and how do our youth feel? How are youth Moving with Africa?
On Saturday 25 May 2019, we focus on the African Diaspora, and we BEAM the light through music, dialogue, dance and comedy performances focused on love, life, leadership, legacy and the future of Africa.
In 2019 and in our current disposition, how do we feel about Africa? How can we move Africa forward?
Development
Beam The Light platform fuses creative art-forms with a specific spotlight on talent development. All the live music performances in the
Beam The Light programme are presented with a group of musical mentees from K-Cool Productions.
For these mentees, we are proud to BEAM the light of opportunity into their career.
